Ashburton PO Fills the Gap Left by Lloyds Bank Closure

With the closure of Ashburton's last bank, Stuart Rogers has been working hard behind the scenes to implement new banking facilities through the Ashburton Post Office to meet the needs of local residents and businesses alike. With support from Mel Stride MP, Stuart has managed to negotiate a deal with the PO to allow members of the Ashburton Chamber of Trade who deposit cash or cheques with the Ashburton Post Office free access to a change facility. Whilst traders may be able to arrange a change facility through other routes, membership of Ashburton Chamber of Trade is currently the most cost-effective option and use of the facility will help to sustain the Ashburton Post Office.
